Ancien couvent converti en hôtel dans un cadre unique. La piscine est particulièrement appropriée et agréable avec les chaleurs de l'été. Vue exceptionnelle sur l'ancien château Restaurant en terrasse et avec de bonnes grillades au menu .

La instalacion de la piscina fatal: césped descuidado, hamacas rotas, sumideros rotos y sueltos, las duchas no funcionaban ni guna de las 4. No nos entregaron la habitación hasta las 18:30 porque estaba sin preparar. 30 minutos esperando para que nos habría tan la puertas del parking por la noche porque la recepcionista tenía que hacer más funciones. Ubicación excelente. La limpieza bien. Cocina bien. Atención del personal muy buena. Habitación bien. El aire acondicionado iba a ratos. Una diferencia considerable del año pasado a este. Tal y como está ahora le sobran estrellas. Tiene falta de personal.

Alojamiento en un edificio histórico único. Nuevos dueños excelente atención . En remodelación y actualización tras el cambio de propietarios.

DO NOT STAY HERE! We're currently staying here and it's barely a Hostel. And frankly, that's insulting to Hostels everywhere. First, the rooms are hot and the temperature doesn't get fixed with any adjustments to the in room thermostat. Next, Beds are hard and uncomfortable at best. The food at the restaurant is bland and completely not interesting. Considering the fact that we're in Spain, that's saying something. The server at the restaurant, Wilson, was completely disinterested in helping us out and was outright belligerent and furthermore, came across with a "better than you" attitude. Fun bonus: the shower doesn't work and the "maintenance man" is gone for the day so their best solution is to switch us to another room, fantastic isn't it!?

This hotel could be amazing as the building itself is beautiful, but unfortunately it is very lacking! Room was very tired, dark and dreary. Shower was tired and was so slippery that we had to put a small towel down in it to stand on. Breakfast was very average. Large breakfast room. Food was buffet style and unfortunately poor quality. On both mornings there wasn’t a clean table for us to sit at. Dirty piled up dishes on every single table. Was very unprofessional and uninviting. Lounge area was tired looking and not very clean and also had dirty dishes and glasses everywhere. It was very hard at times to get a drink from the bar. Staff seemed thin on the ground and were rushed off their feet. Had dinner in the hotel one night and it was absolutely awful. Food was uninspiring and cold. Service was terrible. Bar staff were brought into the dining room to work and were shouted at and again were rushed off their feet. The hotel wasn’t even full. So no reason for any of this. Just very poor management and lack of staff training. The pool area was nice enough. Parking wasn’t free even though the car park was owned by the hotel which was a disappointment. This place really needs a makeover and a proactive general manager. Not much going on in Penafiel town. We struggled to find places that were open for drinks and food.
